Terms of Service for The Corn Station
Last updated: September 5, 2026
These Terms of Service apply to this website and to enquiries made through it. The Corn Station is a mobile sweet-corn roasting and event food-service business based in Ontario, Canada, serving corporate events, festivals, and community gatherings across the Greater Toronto Area. In these Terms, “we,” “our,” and “us” mean The Corn Station.
1. Website Use
This website provides information about The Corn Station and lets prospective customers request quotes and contact us about event services. Submitting a quote request does not create a booking, a reservation, or a contractual commitment by The Corn Station.
2. Quotes
Prices shown on this website are starting-from prices. They are not guaranteed final prices.
A quote may depend on factors such as:
- Number of servings
- Event location
- Service duration
- Staffing requirements
- Site access
- Parking
- Equipment requirements
- Logistics
- Any special requirements for your event
A quote is not a confirmed booking. An event becomes a booking only once the customer accepts the applicable quote or booking terms and The Corn Station confirms receipt of the required deposit.
3. Booking and Deposit
A deposit of 30% is normally required to secure an event date. An event is not considered booked simply because a customer says they would like to proceed. It is confirmed only after The Corn Station has actually received the required deposit and confirms the booking.
The remaining 70% balance is normally due 7 days before the event. Bookings made within 7 days of an event may be subject to different payment requirements, which will be communicated in the applicable quote or booking confirmation.
Payment instructions are provided directly by The Corn Station.
4. Changes to Event Details
Please let us know promptly about any material change to your event, including changes to:
- Event date
- Event location
- Guest count or number of servings
- Service time
- Event duration
- Site access
- Indoor or outdoor setup
- Any other material event requirements
Material changes may affect pricing, staffing, equipment, logistics, or availability, and may require a revised quote.
5. Customer and Site Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate event information and for making sure The Corn Station has appropriate access to the event site. Any site requirements communicated during booking must be available as agreed.
6. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Refunds
30% Booking Deposit
The 30% booking deposit is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed because The Corn Station reserves the event date and operating capacity and may begin planning, scheduling, purchasing, staffing and other preparations for the event.
Customer cancellation more than 14 days before the event
- The customer may request to reschedule the booking one time. The existing deposit may be transferred to a new event date, subject to The Corn Station’s availability.
- The new event date is not confirmed until The Corn Station approves it in writing.
- Changes to the location, guest count, number of servings, service duration or other event requirements may result in revised pricing.
Customer cancellation or rescheduling 7 to 14 days before the event
- Rescheduling and any credit are at The Corn Station’s discretion because inventory, staffing, equipment, transportation or other event costs may already have been committed.
- The booking deposit remains non-refundable.
Customer cancellation or rescheduling less than 7 days before the event
- Because the remaining balance is normally due seven days before the event, cancellations, rescheduling requests, refunds and credits within this period are reviewed individually by The Corn Station.
- No refund or credit is automatically guaranteed.
Cancellation by The Corn Station
If The Corn Station cancels a confirmed event because it is unable to provide the contracted service, amounts paid for services that will not be provided will be refunded, unless another arrangement is mutually agreed upon with the customer.
Weather, event-organizer cancellation and circumstances outside our reasonable control
- Outdoor and special events may be affected by severe weather, unsafe conditions, government restrictions, emergency conditions, event-organizer decisions, venue closures, supply disruptions or other circumstances outside The Corn Station’s reasonable control.
- These circumstances do not automatically create an entitlement to a cash refund.
- If an event cannot proceed because of circumstances outside our reasonable control, The Corn Station will review the circumstances, including costs already incurred or committed. Where appropriate, The Corn Station may offer rescheduling, a future-event credit or another reasonable arrangement.
- The Corn Station may pause, modify or discontinue service where reasonably necessary to protect the safety of customers, staff or the public.
7. Weather, Safety and Events Outside Our Control
Outdoor and event services may be affected by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Unsafe site conditions
- Government restrictions
- Emergency conditions
- Event-organizer decisions
- Equipment failure outside our reasonable control
- Supply disruptions
The Corn Station may refuse, pause, or discontinue service where reasonably necessary to protect the safety of customers, staff, or the public.
8. Food, Ingredients and Allergens
Please tell us about any known food-allergy or dietary concerns before your event so we can discuss what is possible.
Our corn is prepared in a mobile roasting environment where other foods, seasonings and toppings are handled. We cannot guarantee that any product or environment is completely free of allergens.
We use Ontario-grown corn when available.
9. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but availability, pricing, service details and other information may change. A website error or an out-of-date price does not automatically override a quote or booking confirmation that has been individually issued and accepted, subject to applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Corn Station is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or from our event services, and our total liability in connection with an event is limited to the amount paid to us for that event.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including consumer protection legislation in Ontario. These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
14. Changes to These Terms
